Water Regulating Valves

Pressure operated water valves are used for regulating the flow of water in refrigeration plants with water-cooled condensers. The water regulating valves give modulating regulation of the condensing pressure and so maintain it constant during operation. When the refrigeration plant is stopped, the cooling water flow is shut off automatically.
WVFX / WVTS / WVO pressure operated water valves
Pressure operated water valves are used for regulating the flow of water in refrigeration plants with water-cooled condensers. Type WVFX can be supplied in stainless steel housing which can be used in connection with sea water cooling of condensers and compressors.
WVFX, pipe thread connections, manually adjustable
  • Direct actuated valve.
  • Refrigerants (condenser side): CFC, HCFC, HFC.
  • Media (liquid side): fresh water, neutral brine.
  • Media temperature range, WVFX 10-25: –25 - 130°C, WVFX 32-40:–25 - 90°C.
  • Opening differential pressure: max. 10 bar.
  • Max working pressure, condenser side, WVFX 10-25: 26.4 bar, WVFX 32-40: 24.1 bar.
  • Max working pressure, liquid side, WVFX 10-25: 16 bar, WVFX 32-40: 10 bar.

WVFX 10-25, for high pressure refrigerants
  • Designed for use with High Pressure refrigerants such as R410A and CO2.
  • Media (liquid side): fresh water, neutral brine..
  • Media temperature range, WVFX 10-25: –25 - 130°C.
  • Opening differential pressure: max. 10 bar.
  • Max working pressure, condenser side, WVFX 10-25 (High Pressure versions): 45.2 bar.
  • Max working pressure, liquid side, WVFX 10-25: 16 bar.

WVS, pilot valve
  • Servo-operated valve.
  • Refrigerants (condenser side): CFC, HCFC, HFC, R 717 (NH3).
  • Media (liquid side): fresh water, neutral brine.
  • Media temperature range:–25 - 90°C.
  • Opening differential pressure range, WVS 32-40: 0.5 - 4 bar, WVS 50-100: 0.3 - 4 bar.
  • Max working pressure, condenser side: 26.4 bar. Max working pressure, liquid side: 10 bar.

AVTA thermostatically operated water valves
AVTA thermostatic operated water valves are used for proportional regulation of water flow quantity in refrigeration plants with water-cooled condensers for condensing pressure regulation purposes. AVTA water regulating valves give modulating regulation of the condensing pressure and so maintain it constant during operation. When the refrigeration plant is stopped, the cooling water flow is shut off automatically. AVTA is designed for use with water or neutral brine. AVTA opens on rising bulb temperatures.
